FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How can I send you my tracks?
Alternatively, you can simply upload your files to a user-friendly file-sharing website like WeTransfer, Google Drive, or Dropbox, and then share the download link with us—it’s quick and easy! How can I export my tracks from the DAW?
Every DAW has its own unique setup, but they all allow you to consolidate tracks, whether before or during export. Consolidating is really important because it makes sure all your tracks start at the same zero point and stay perfectly in sync when you import them into our mix session. If you're ever unsure about how to do this with your specific DAW, just tell us which one you're using, and we'd be happy to help guide you through the process!Should I export my tracks while they still have effects applied?
It usually depends, but generally, the answer is no. We ask that plugins or effects such as EQ, compression, delay, or reverb not be included on the exported tracks, as they will be added during the mixing process on our end. However, if there are plugins that are essential to the sound of your instrument or track—such as VSTi or any recorded instrument they should be included in the exported tracks. If you're uncertain, feel free to send us both the dry and wet versions of your tracks so we can work with what works best. Can I send you some reference tracks?
Feel free to send links or include them in the zip file along with your favorite reference tracks and any specific requests for the mix. I'll gladly incorporate them into our process to ensure it meets your preferences. What is your typical turnaround time for a mix & mastering?
You'll usually receive the finished mix within a few days (4-7, it could be sooner) after sending your tracks, with mastering taking 1-3 days.Do you offer revisions for mixing and mastering?
Yes, all services include up to three revisions of mix and mastering per song.Do you provide mixing and mastering services as standalone options?
Yes, I provide independent mixing and mastering services at a rate of $150 per song for both. (Be aware of upcoming sales.) SAVE SOME CASH during the sales period.Do you offer any discounts?

Distant Identity is an anonymous electronic music producer, mixing and mastering engineer, and sound designer known for creating immersive sonic worlds that blend emotion, atmosphere, and technical skill. Operating behind a deliberately concealed identity, Distant Identity allows the focus to be on the craft itself, enabling listeners to connect with the sound rather than the person behind it.
A graduate of Full Sail University with a Degree in Audio Production, Distant Identity is trained in professional audio engineering, advanced mixing techniques, mastering standards, digital production, and sound design for modern media. This background forms the foundation of his polished, impactful, and clean sonic signature.
As an electronic music producer, Distant Identity moves effortlessly between cinematic textures, experimental sounds, and high-energy electronic production. His music combines emotional depth with technical precision, creating soundscapes that feel both vast and thoughtfully designed.
As a mixing and mastering engineer, he enhances tracks with clarity, punch, and balance — bringing out the full potential of each element while maintaining artistic intent. His engineering style blends creativity with precision, ensuring every project is ready for radio, clubs, or film, as needed.
Remaining anonymous allows Distant Identity to push creative boundaries freely, focusing solely on the energy, emotion, and experience of sound. Whether producing original electronic music, designing audio for multimedia, or engineering mixes and masters for other artists, his goal remains the same: to craft sound that resonates deeply, even if no one ever sees the face behind it.
